With Valentine’s Day falling just before our annual Treyarnon weekend, this year our Parish gathering focused on love.
Not the mushy, romantic love traditionally associated with February 14th, but our love for our friends, family, strangers and ourselves.
Through sharing – food, stories, songs, prayer and laughter – we were able to express our love for each other as we really got to know other members of our Parish family.
An Acts of Kindness wheel gave helpful prompts and proved popular with young and old.
After a day in smaller groups and families spent exploring Padstow, Newquay, the Camel Trail and further afield, we celebrated Mass in Padstow before returning for the long-established and very popular Treyarnon’s Got Talent featuring singing, dancing, poetry, magic, comedy and a surprise return from ‘Marion’.
Treyarnon is perfect for all ages (this year we ranged from 3 to 93). It’s a fabulous a weekend away from it all, close to the sea and beach, with kind, generous and friendly people – also known as our Parish Family.
Look out for details of next year’s trip!
